A specially designed DR (Doffing Robot - patented, ™), capable to interface with any texturing machine type, enters the machine aisle, doffs the textured yarn bobbins, exits the aisle and sequentially transfers the bobbins to a transport rack. The rack is then conveyed by means of an AGV system and inserted into a comprehensive handling system, including automated bobbin quality inspection, weighing, labelling, size checking, packing, and Autowarehouse.

The DR is equipped with purely mechanical pickup devices featuring high reliability and easy maintenance.
Thanks to the autonomous and highly flexible operation mode, the machine is able to serve large production areas.
However, the DR simple concept and competitive cost also position the DR as an optimal solution for small texturing operations consisting of one or two machines.
In this case, the transport rack may be manually conveyed to the necessary locations.
The latest Salmoiraghi developments are innovative AGV-based systems for automatically supplying POY bobbins to the texturing machines (CreelMaster vehicle), and doffing the produced DTY bobbins directly from the texturing machine roll-off tracks (DoffMaster vehicle).
The DoffMaster and CreelMaster equipment is internationally patented, and represents a novel approach to Texturing Area automation, combining straightforward construction, easy maintenance, and high efficiency.
